Lonnie Eugene Stewart, Artist / Sculptor
photo of Lonnie Eugene Stewart Lonnie Stewart, internationally recognized artist and sculptor, has created portraits of such luminaries as Mother Teresa; Diana, Princess of Wales; Pope John Paul II and the Maharana of Udaipur, India. In addition, he has sculpted powerful, life-like busts of subjects ranging from former President and Eureka College alum, Ronald Reagan, to the future Saint, Mother Teresa. Lonnie was born in Galesburg, Illinois; his family soon moved to DeLong, Illinois, population 56. He practices his profession from studios located in Peoria, Illinois and Charleston, South Carolina.
