It is an honor to be officially here at WTVP PBS! As a viewer, you know that WTVP is a treasure. As a leader, I intend to safeguard, nurture, and grow WTVP, not just for us but also for the next generation of viewers, families, and children in our community.

The first thing you need to know about me is that I love living in central Illinois! The beautiful landscapes, locally grown produce, the incredible coffee roasters and restaurants, innovative start-ups, and the inspiring museums and local theatres… I could go on and on.

My husband, Eric, and I both grew up in Peoria. We’ve been married for 17 years, and (fun fact) we first met and fell in love while performing in a play at Corn Stock Theatre. After living and working in New York City for several years, we returned to Peoria to raise a family. We have three delightful children: Josie (9), Eliza (5), and Eben (3).

As a mom who sees her children already wrestling with the allure of limitless viewing options, I deeply value that WTVP cuts through the noise of pointless content, bringing only programs for all ages that educate, inform, and inspire. WTVP brings America’s biggest classroom and the world’s best concert stages into my home. I love that. As the results from our recent survey indicate, viewers like you do, too!

Thank you to the 1,200+ viewers who took our programming survey. You’ve told us what you love and what you could do without. You’ve told us where we are doing well and where we can improve. You’ve told us how much you value WTVP. We promise to use every dollar you give to ensure that this station continues to deliver the great programming you rely on. You can learn more about the survey results in this guide or by visiting our website. Be sure to watch the new WTVP NOW segments airing this month where staff and board members answer your questions voiced through the survey. The future of WTVP is a conversation that you are a part of. We will continue to chart our course with your key values and interests in mind.

Until next time.
